Omniscient eyes with us always in sight 

Since birth melodically whispering in our direction

My scent was beauty, strong and audacious 

I know that’s how you recognized me

Those eyes had the vigor to see right through into the inner most faces of me 

Your stance was chivalrous and shoulders protective 

But it was that ebony skin that held the power to shield my being 

Unbeknownst to the plan I sent prayers, while angels gathered my tears asking for the one who knows my love language 

A tongue so complex but easily deciphered by him

Tired of the hurt and deceit, loving men with no heartbeat

Fatigued I’d fall asleep 

Every night your  silhouette firmly planted in my dreams 

Never a face only a spirit 

A spirit loving, leading, teaching, spiritualizing me 

I’ve loved you deeper, past your soul straight through your core

Your familiar spirit held me way before our mouths spoke and lips touched. 

In a world so crazy, every entity and ego attempted to crush our bond 

We’ve shown them the power of strength, forgiveness, patience and the power of true love.

So now I stare at you, my rock, while you sleep, every night praying you keep dreaming of me

Kind of in disbelief 

I can’t believe that after three years of knowing you

You are here forever loving me.
